Born again christians only, ques about spiritual warfare?

Is it the way to go whenever you face demonic oppression for example severe poverty, lack of basic needs, bad luck in life, sadness / unhappiness and bad dreams to cast evil spirits out of your life or family through Jesus if you are not really strong spiritually, though accepted christ? or is it better to just pray to Jesus to help you out of these situations through silent prayer and praising + thanking God, without casting any evil out of your life? how can you get yourself out of these negative situations, if you've accepted Christ into your life and be completely delivered? pls recommend some tips i can apply. thanks.
