I have an advent laptop and what to restore it to the same state as when i brought it, how can i do this?

Turn your PC on and hit "F8" repeatedly (do this as soon as you turn the laptop on) Then if you have a hidden recovery partion it should give you some options to restore it to the factory settings. If not you will have to use the recovery disks you had with your laptop, presuming you have some.
