Was Larry Fitzgerald really that good in college?

Fitz was one of the best players in college football history. He set a record by catching a touchdown in 18 straight games. The fact that he lost the Heisman that year to Jason White (what a glorious pro career he had!) was the final straw for me. I have ZERO respect for that award.
