Why is Paris Hilton so famous?

She has done nothing but sat on her for as long as I can remember. You can fuss at me for this, I don't care. Honestly guys, she's had one hit song out, and played in a movie or two..and that show with her and Nicole Richie..so..she hasn't done really much of anything..so why are people so interested in her...and why is she so famous?
