Will Al-Qaeda and other Iraqi terrorists we're in war with right now invade our country if we stop the war?

I'm really scared that they'll just come and invade us and kill us Americans. My social studies teacher told me they'd be too weak to invade us but I'm scared about war. Do you think they would? Why do you think that?
